How to Make a Coffee Misto

Things You'll Need:

  • coffee beans or ground coffee
  • milk, soy milk, organic milk, or half and half
  • sugar
    1. irst you will need to pick out your favorite coffee. Medium to Dark Roasted coffee usually tastes best since you will be using more milk then you usually put in a regular coffee. Starbucks Sumatra is a good earthy blend, and tastes great with cream. If you want a smoother flavor you StarbucksVerona has a sweet nutty flavor that will mix well with a low fat milk, if you want a lower calorie option.
    2. 2
Grind your coffee beans and brew a batch of coffee. If you prefer a stronger flavor of coffee, rather then a creamy flavor brew your coffee a little stronger then usual. Next you want to pick out your milk. If your treating yourself, coffee misto is delicious with Organic Valley's half and half. If your lactose intolerant, Silk vanilla soy milk is a great substitute with a nice hint of vanilla.
    3. 3
Fill your cup half way with organic milk, soy milk, or half and half. Heat your milk in the microwave on high for about 60 seconds. Fill up the rest of your cup with freshly brewed coffee and enjoy. Add a little sugar if you usually like your coffee sweet.
    4. 4
Now you have your very own coffee misto!
      enjoy :)
